PURPOSE: To perform cleaning and disinfection of a contact lens by incorporating chlorohexidine and/or its salt, boric acid and/or its salt, a specified copolymer and propylene glycol and/or a specified polyethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION: In a cleaning and disinfecting soln. for a contact lens, chlorohexidine and/or its salt, boric acid and/or a borate, a polyoxyethylene- polyoxypropylene glycol copolymer of the formula and propylene glycol and/or a polyethylene glycol with an average MW of 100-600 are incorporated. In the formula, x is an integer of 50-150 and y is an integer of 20-80. In addition, there exists no special restriction in the method for preparing this cleaning and disinfecting soln. and as in the same way as an ordinary water soln., it is prepd. by dissolving these components the amt. of compounding of which are adjusted so as to make them to a specified amt. of content and if necessary, components other than these into a specified amt. of sterilized and purified water. |
