PURPOSE: To provide the music display device which can correctly display chords according to a notation rule. CONSTITUTION: A CPU extracts pitch and sound lengths by musical sounds, specifies a note corresponding to the extracted sound length, and also specifies the position of the specified note in staff notation according to the pitch and sound length. Further, the note is displayed on a staff notation image displayed on a display screen at the specified position in the staff notation. Here, when musical tones constitute a chord, one of notes constituting the chord and the other are displayed so that their note heads are opposite in direction if the vertical difference between the position of one note in the staff notation and that of the other is a specific value or below. |
