PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing solution in which the catalytic effect of metal is suppressed to stabilize peroxide, and a photographic processing method using it. SOLUTION: A photographic element, particularly, a color photographic paper, can be processed with a developing agent containing hydrogen peroxide or other oxidizing agent, and a redox amplifying or bleaching solution. In these solutions, a dissolved compound having hydrophobic hydrocarbon group and a second long chain group for adsorbing the compound to silver or stainless steel is contained. Thus, the catalytic effect of the metal is suppressed, and the processing solution can be more stabilized.
