Metal-ceramic composite material (I) comprises (a) Ag and CuO; and (b) MgO in a compsn. of formula: (Mg1-(x+y)Cux)O+Agy (where x = 0.03-0.1 and y = 0.01-0.5). Prodn. of (I) is also claimed.
