PURPOSE: To decrease the occupied area for fixing a modular jack to a printed circuit board and the projecting amount from the surface of the circuit board by forming specific structure in the modular jack having specified constitution. CONSTITUTION: A modular jack 20 is constituted with a box type insulating body 21 having a plug inserting hole 27 formed on one surface, and a plurality of contacts 25 elastically protruded on the inner wall of the plug inserting hole 27 and made of a wire material having elasticity. A recessed groove 28 is formed on each outer wall parallel to each other of the box type insulating body 21 so as to be parallel to the axis of the plug inserting hole 27, and the side edge of a cut-out part 11 formed in the printed circuit board 10 is engaged with the recessed groove 28 to mount on the printed circuit board 10. |
