<p>A box (10) for shipping unused syringes and for subsequent safe storing of used syringes (S'). The box has an open-topped container having a bottom (11) and a plurality of sides (12, 13, 14, 15), and has a cover (20) for closing the container. The cover is movable with respect to the container to permit the bulk removal of all unused syringes. A top portion (12AA) of one container side (12) includes locking holes (12') for receiving cover locking tabs (21, 22). The top portion (12AA) may be pivoted from one location for supporting the cover without locking the cover to another location in which the locking holes register with the locking tabs for locking the cover. A flap-closable opening in the cover permits serial feeding of used syringes therein. The pivotal flap (26) includes a delivery portion (29) which also prevents used syringes internal of the locked box from being removed through the cover opening.</p> |
