<p>A method and a device for casing a well, particularly an oil well bore or a pipe, using an in situ curable flexible tubular preform, by inserting the preform into the well or pipe in a longitudinally folded state, then deploying the preform by hydraulically inflating it and applying the preform wall against the wall of the well or pipe, and finally curing the preform. The preform (8) is inserted into a longitudinally rigid or semi-rigid but radially flexible releasable sleeve (6), and the preform is positioned in the well or pipe while it is within the sleeve (6), said sleeve being separated from the preform and removed from the well or pipe at the end of the operation. The method and device are useful for casing wells or pipes, even if highly deviated, in the oil industry in particular.</p> |
