<p>A fluidized bed reactor system comprising a fluidized bed reaction chamber (12) delimited by side walls and a first grid (30) in the bottom thereof and an external cooling chamber (20) delimited by side walls and a second grid (46) in the bottom thereof. The cooling chamber comprises a bubbling fluidized bed (24). A first interconnection (54) is formed at a level above or at the first grid between the reaction chamber and the cooling chamber, for providing a passage of solids from the fluidized bed to the bubbling fluidized bed. A second interconnection (56) is arranged above the first interconnection between the reaction chamber and the cooling chamber, for providing the passage of fluidizing gas from the cooling chamber into the reaction chamber. A heat transfer zone with heat transfer surfaces (40) is arranged in the bubbling fluidized bed. The improvement being classifying means included between the fluidized bed in the reaction chamber and the heat transfer zone in the bubbling fluidized bed, for allowing only particles smaller than a predetermined size to flow from the fluidized bed into the heat transfer zone of the bubbling fluidized bed.</p> |
