METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INFORMATION RECOMMENDATION USING HYBRID ALGORITHM

An information recommendation method and apparatus using a complex algorithm are provided to filter information while reflecting the private taste of a user without deteriorating the filtering speed of the information. A server analyzes the item preference of a client to produce first preference information. The item preference of the client is analyzed based on the past item access result of the client or additional information which the client produces and transmits. The first preference information is produced as the analyzed result(120). The server selects a neighboring group including other clients having preference similar to preference according to the generated first preference information(130). The server produces the first item information about one or more items which the clients of the generated neighboring group prefer. The server transmits the first item information to a client requesting the recommendation of the information.
