FIELD: purification of tobacco smoke from cancer-producing substances and toxicants; can find its application in tobacco industry in manufacture of cigarette filters and holders. SUBSTANCE: the tobacco filter has at least two sections arranged in succession in the direction of flow of tobacco smoke: external section positioned on the side of the smoker and made of cellulose-containing or cellulose acetate fibre, and middle section located on the side of tobacco, filled with adsorbent of porous carbon fibres, containing at least 98% of carbon and having a specific surface within 700 to 1500 sq.m/g. The adsorbent mass is 14 to 28 mg. Fibrous adsorbent may have a fabric structure. EFFECT: enhanced absorbability of filter with respect to nicotine, carbon monoxide, resins. |
