FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard power plants. SUBSTANCE: shipboard power plant has engine connected with drive shaft by means of clutch; drive shaft is kinematically linked with propeller mounted vertically for longitudinal motion; clutch is split in its construction; engine is rotatably secured on axle for connecting it to and disconnecting it from drive shaft. Provision is made for turning the engine relative to axis of turn of perpendicular plane passing through longitudinal axes of engine and drive shaft and relative to axis parallel to axis of motion of drive shaft.
