PURPOSE: To obtain an org.-inorg. hybrid thermosetting flame-retardant foam compsn. which is lightweight and excellent in toughness by reacting an aminoplast resin precursor, a urethanizing catalyst, a surface-active foam stabilizer, and an inorg. aggregate in the presence of water. CONSTITUTION: The compsn. is prepd. by reacting an org. component comprising the effective component of an aq. soln. of a di-ε-triazine-type polyvalent aminoplast resin precursor, an org. polyisocyanate, a urethanizing tert. amine catalyst, and a silicone foam stabilizer and/or an anionic surface-active foam stabilizer with at least one inorg. aggregate hardenable by hydration and selected from among anhydrous gypsum, hemihydrate gypsum, and calcium tertiary phosphate in the presence of water. The aq. aminoplast precursor soln. contains a monomer and/or a precondensate formed by the addition reaction of formaldehyde with a polyamine component comprising a norbornanecarbodiguanamine represented by formula I and/or formula II and a mono-ε-triazine compd. and/or urea or thiourea. |
