PURPOSE: To unwrinkle a sheet material efficiently not only near a center part of the roll but also in an end of the roll and also correspond to a thin material such as a very thin film by forming a new spiral groove gradually adding as it approaches both ends from its center. CONSTITUTION: A spiral groove 15 for sending wrinkle to both end direction in which lead angleθslants to a direction opposite toward the both ends 12a, 12b from a roll center 11 is mounted on a surface of an unwrinkling roll. New spiral grooves 15b, 15c are gradually added and the number of the grooves are increased at it approaches the both ends 12a, 12b from the roll center 11 to improve supplementary action of a sheet material to the roll end where the wrinkle is apt to accumulate. A groove is formed such that the lead angleθbecomes larger as it approaches the both ends 12a, 12b from the roll center 12. Thereby, sending amount of the wrinkle becomes larger as the end where the wrinkle is apt to accumulate, so that enlargement action can be obtained.
