METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DENITRATING COMBUSTION EXHAUST

PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for denitrating combustion exhaust which can improve the elimination rate of nitrogen oxides in the combustion exhaust by a simple method. CONSTITUTION: A discharge pole 18 is made from a hollow pipe 24, more than one cylindrical needle-shaped projection 26 which is led into the inside of the pipe 24 is installed on the outside surface of the hollow pipe 24, and more than one needle-shaped projection 30 is installed in a grounding pole 20 opposite to the projections of the discharge pole 18. A corona discharge space is formed by discharging from the projections 26 of the discharge pole 18 to the projections 30 of the grounding pole 20, and steam is supplied into the hollow pipe 24 of the discharge pole 18 to spray the steam into the corona discharge space from the projections 26 of the discharge pole 18.
