PURPOSE: To provide a covering member for pushbutton switch, which is excellent in the operability of the key, the symbol in the key is not worn away, and the visibility of the symbol is excellent, and provide its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION: The covering member for pushbutton switch consists of a key top part 11 made of resin having the hardness of not less than 40 Shore D, a skirt part 12, a base part 13 and a contact point part 14, all three of which are made of silicone rubber. The key top part 11 is made by laminating transparent upper resin layer 21 and lower resin layer 22 mixed with laser color developing pigment to each other. By applying laser beam from the upper resin layer 21 side to the covering member after molding, a symbol 22a is formed in the lower resin layer 22 by means of laser color development. |
