PURPOSE: To make it possible to realize easily controllable apodization with simple circuits. CONSTITUTION: The reflection echo signals from the living body are inputted to a selection circuit 12 according to groups by every beam direction. This selection circuit 12 determines the position where the inputted reflection echo signals are outputted to a delay/amplifier circuit 14 according to the positions of microvibrators in the groups. Phasing addition is executed in this delay amplifier circuit 14 by passing the reflection echo signals inputted from the selection circuit 12 through a delay circuit 15 and a variable gain amplifier 16 in the number of stages meeting their input positions in such a manner that the delay quantity and amplification factor are higher with the microvibrators nearer the center of the groups. |
