PURPOSE: To prevent the bedsore of a patient lying in bed with a simple construction by laying a fluid mat having the area viewed from plane of a specific value in a section where the bedsore arises or on the circumference thereof, pressurizing this mat to a specific pressure to repeat expansion and contraction and specifying the product of the pressure and area at the time of expansion to a specific ratio to the body-weight of the patient. CONSTITUTION: The air mat 1 is connected to a discharge/suction mechanism 2 by a plastic conduit 3. The air is sucked into and discharged out of the air mat 1 by this discharge/suction mechanism 2. The discharge/suction mechanism 2 has an air pump 4, a timer 5, a pressure control valve 6 and a discharge valve 7. One sheet or plural sheets of the fluid mats 1 of <=4000cm<2> in the total of the area viewed from plane are laid in the section where the bedsore arises or arose or the circumference thereof and are subjected to repetition of expansion and contraction by pressuring the mats to <=50g/cm<2> . The product of the pressure and area at the time of expanding the fluid mats 1 is confined to <=1/2 the body-weight of the patient. As a result, the pressure on the body is moved by repeating the expansion and contraction, by which the bedsore is prevented and the burden on the care is reduced. |
