The filter is for the purification of the compacted litter material, after it has been used by the domestic animals. It consists of a filter, for compacted litter material. The filter is formed by a grill (1), which is fixed on a frame (2), with two identical edges (3,3'), which are arranged back to back, with each edge being designed to be fitted on to a standard litter tray. Each edge forms a channel (4), which encases the upper edge of the litter tray (5). The upper and lower edges are held by an extension (6) to the frame, which is inclined to the edges, to form a funnel to facilitate the transfer of material. A notch (7) is formed at the centre of two opposite sides of the frame, in order to allow access to remove the frame from the litter tray.
