A method of production of an optical device assembly for an optical isolator. The assembly comprises at least three optical devices, i.e., a polarizer (50), a Faraday rotator (60) and an analyzer (70), that are aligned on an optical axis. A polarizer plate (5), a Faraday rotator plate (6), and an analyzer plate (7) are bonded by soldering, and the stack of these optical material plates bonded together is cut to produce at one time a plurality of optical device assemblies (2) for optical isolators. This method is suited to massproducibility and can drastically reduce the cost of the optical device assembly.
