摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a negative electrode material for a metal-air secondary battery, which allows a metal-air secondary battery to exhibit good charge and discharge performances; and a metal-air secondary battery having such a negative electrode material as a metal electrode.SOLUTION: A negative electrode material for a metal-air secondary battery according to the present invention is intended for use in a metal-air secondary battery. The negative electrode material comprises iron or an iron oxide, having a porous surface portion. It is preferred that the average diameter of pores present in the surface portion is 100 nm or less, and the average distance between adjacent pores is 500 nm or less. In addition, it is preferred that the porous surface portion is formed by iron anodization. It is also preferred that the negative electrode material for a metal-air secondary battery according to the present invention further comprises a first solid electrolyte provided in contact with iron or an iron oxide. A metal-air secondary battery of the present invention comprises the negative electrode material as a metal electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
