PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simplified controller for electrical machine by a constitution, wherein a timer transmits a switch signal in response to a first output received from a transducer and generates a switch ON-signal in response to a second output during phase inductance cycle. SOLUTION: A comparator 20 in a controller for a switching reluctance motor is arranged to receive a first input 22 which is proportional to the phase winding current of a motor and a second input 24 corresponds to a predetermined or adjustable maximum current reference signal. An output from the comparator, being generated when a maximum current reference is exceeded, triggers a multivibrator 28 to generate a switch OFF-signal, i.e., a pulse having a fixed duration of logic level '0', thus generating a switch-OFF output from an AND gate 30. Since the winding current can be equalized to the maximum current reference, a simplified controller for electrical machine can be obtained. |
