PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic material, particularly a black and white radiation transmissive photographic component useful for increasing a ratio of sensitivity to Dmin by composing a silver halide emulsion layer as a photographic component so as to contain the specified alkyl amino mercapto-tetrazole compound. SOLUTION: A silver halide photographic component includes at least one silver halide emulsion layer covering a support body, and this emulsion layer contains an alkyl amino mercapto-tetrazole compound expressed by the formula. In the formula, Y stands for a bivalent group selected from a group of -CO-, -SO2 - and -P(O)OR-, provided that R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. R1 to R3 are equal to or different from one another, and may be hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups or aryl groups. Also (n) stands for an integer between 1 and 5. Furthermore, this silver halide emulsion layer preferably contains a plate type silver halide grain having an aspect ratio equal to or above 3:1, and thickness equal to or smaller than 0.4μm.
