Disclosed is a water purifier which is capable of removing residual chlorine, remaining in water having passed through an activated carbon filter, through a chemical reaction. The disclosed water purifier capable of reducing residual chlorine comprises: a filter unit which includes a free carbon filter configured to remove residual chlorine and impurities included in introduced water through activated carbon adsorption, a residual chlorine removal unit configured to include a chlorine removal material adapted to remove residual chlorine, remaining in water having passed through the free carbon filter, through a chemical reaction, and a reverse osmosis membrane filter configured to filter water having passed through the residual chlorine elimination unit; and a tank which stores the water filtered by the filter unit. According to the water purifier capable of reducing residual chlorine, provided is an effect in which residual chlorine can be stably prevented from entering into the reverse osmosis membrane filter, and thus a membrane of the reverse osmosis membrane filter can be prevented from being damaged, thereby maintaining stable performance of the reverse osmosis membrane filter. |
