A device for treating plant pots comprises a movable frame provided with positioning means on which the plant pots can be positioned, and adjacent transfer members for transferring the plant pot between the positioning means and the ground on which the device is situated while the device is moving. The transfer members are of movable design, in such a manner that when the device is moving the speed of a plant pot which is to be put down or picked up in relation to the ground below is substantially equal to zero in the direction of movement.
