Two part oxidn. hair dye system

A two part oxidn. hair dye system comprises a part (A) contg. conventional oxidn. hair dye precursor prods. and a part (B) contg. an alkali metal hyperoxide in a water-free medium. Pref. alkali metal hyperoxide is potassium (I) hyperoxide, prepd. e.g. by combustion of the metal in air at atmospheric pressure. The oxidn. dye precursor prod. comprises a known developer cpd. such as p-toluenediamine, 2,4,5,6-tetraaminopyrimidine, p-aminophenol, N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-ethanol, 4-amino-3-methylphenol, etc., and a coupler such as naphthol, pyrogallol, 1,5-, 2,7- and 1,7-dihydroxynaphthalene, 5-amino-2-methylphenol, m-aminophenol, resorcinol, etc.
