The power tool has an adaptor (19) which incorporates the tool holder (26) and a plug-in axis (20) which is coupled to the spindle (3). The adaptor has an adaptor housing (34) which forms a collar (36) to fit over the neck (37) of the tool housing (2) in the same direction as the plug-in axis. Axially engageable teeth (38, 39) are provided between the collar and the neck at different rotational positions. The teeth are fitted with lead-in tips (40).
