Helical press incorporates centring ring projecting into solids basket

A helical press (2) separates solids from industrial and agricultural effluent water. The solids are collected by a basket in the first section of the press, which is surrounded by a housing. The novelty is that a centring ring (12) is positioned in the first section of the housing to which it is bolted, and that the outer diameter of the ring is the same as the inner radius of the basket into which it projects by a few millimetres.
