<p>A polymeric film has a substrate layer of polymeric material and a coating layer containing a copolyester obtainable by polymerising (a) 40 to 90 mole % of at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or ester forming derivative thereof, (b) 10 to 60 mole % of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and/or ester forming derivative thereof, (c) 0.1 to 10 mole % of at least one dicarboxylic acid and/or ester forming derivative thereof comprising a free acid group and/or a salt thereof, (d) 40 to 90 mole % of at least one glycol having from 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and (e) 10 to 60 mole % of at least one polyalkylene glycol. The coated film is suitable for use as a lid for a container, particularly for food, exhibiting a strong heat-seal and easy peeling property.</p> |
