Disk emulator for multiple optical disc changer

The system for connecting optical disc changers to a computer uses a standard computer to a disk interface and an emulator connector to the disk changer which mimics the standard disc-computer interface. Disk player-changer interfaces (108) are provided, and interface controllers (102) form the computer interface (101). A working RAM (103) is provided for the controllers (102, 104) and a buffer storage is provided for transferred data. A data compression processor (109) comprises data for storage and decompresses data on access, an emulator microcontroller (113) with memory (110) and flash EPROM (112) stores firmware.
