Disclosed is a method of preparing triglyceride-containing dry cell fragments, by breaking triglyceride-containing microbial cells as an aqueous dispersion thereof followed by dewatering them. The decrement of the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the dry cell fragments, after heat-treatment at 150 DEG C for 2 minutes, is not more than 10 % by weight. The cell fragments are useful as a feed composition. For extracting triglycerides from triglyceride-containing microbial cells, the cells are broken as an aqueous dispersion thereof, then dewatered and extracted with a solvent.
