FIELD: continuous casting plants and methods. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminary feed into mold along its inclined faces belts of base of metal to be cast, heating up belts by gas and melting them, subsequent casting of melt metal to mold through immersible nozzle, reducing metal with sizing of surface of billet and continuous knocking out of it. In order to provide increased metal yielding and high strength of mold faces continuous casting plant including mold, intermediate ladle with immersible nozzle also includes drums for supplying two belts, device for feeding hot gas and for heating mold, mechanism form moving gas duct, spherical hoof for mold having movable faces. In order to provide uniform heating of mold faces device for feeding hot gas is in the form of burner with adjustable shutters. Upon heating process burner moves vertically upwards; axis of its slit openings are parallel relative to surface of inclined faces. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, increased metal yielding. |
