FIELD: magnesium production by electrolysis of smelt chlorides. SUBSTANCE: aim is to carry excessive heat off and to control production process temperature mode, that allows to increase electrolyzer productivity by 8 - 10 %. Electrolyzer has housing 1, lining 2, operational sections 3 with cathodes 5 and anodes 6 with contact heads 7, collecting cell 4. Collector 9 with rigidly connected with it nozzles 8 aimed in direction to operational sections 3 is located under electrolyzer housing 1 bottom. Number of nozzles is equal to number of number of anodes 6. Nozzles are located in parallel, perpendicularly and at an angle to bottom. There are ribs 10 located between nozzles and collector 9 is situated under bottom of collecting cell 4. EFFECT: increased electrolyzer productivity. |
