A method for protecting surfaces from corrosive materials using a composition consisting of a polystyrene known as a high-impact polystyrene dissolved in a suitable solvent, preferably styrene, with a mixture of 1-18 parts by weight, preferably about 4 parts by weight, of a vinyl resin or an unsaturated polyester for every one part by weight of the polystyrene solution, in the presence of accelerators or catalysts. |
