A numerical control apparatus for a wire-cut electric discharge machine for providing data necessary for a machining power unit to carry out control based on a discharge state and control based of a machining shape. A machining shape data output means determines machining shape data serving as a parameter to be used when the discharge conditions are controlled based on the shape command of a machining program and outputs the machining shape data to the machining power unit prior to the actual execution of machining. A machining shape signal output means outputs a machining shape signal expressing a machining shape at the position where a wire electrode carrying out machining is located to the machining power unit in real time. <IMAGE>
