<p>PURPOSE: To provide a recording and reproducing device with a miniaturized, simplified and highly reliabilized cassette moving mechanism. CONSTITUTION: On a 1st chassis 1, a cylinder 3 equipped with a rorary head and tape loading means 6a and 6b are disposed. On a 2nd chassis 2, a tape 5 housed in a cassette is provided. The last stage gear 10a of a speed reduction gear train 10 is provided integrally with an arm 9, and a driving pin 9a is installed at a tip of this arm 9. This driving pin 9a is engaged with a cam hole 11 provided on the surface of the 2nd chassis 2. Consequently, the circular motion of the last stage gear 10a is converted into the rectilinear motion of the 2nd chassis 2, and hence the commencement of operation of the cassette moving mechanism can be delayed from the operation commencing time of a tape drawing mechanism. Then, since a rack and a pinion are not used as in the conventional device, the reliability of operation is enhanced.</p> |
