PURPOSE: To prevent the useless communication with an interrogator and to improve the reliability of communication by providing a communication switch on a responder and stopping the performing communication when a user does not intend to perform communication. CONSTITUTION: When a user purchases a commodity in the cashless charge system of an automatic vending machine, an interrogator 110 intermittently performs an interrogating transmission and the state becomes a response waiting state. When the user turns on the communication switch 126 of a responder 120 and receives the transmission of the interrogator 110, the identification number specified procedure of an opposite party and the information exchange required for an application is executed with each other. The interrogator 110 stores a response discrimination number in a memory 114 and notifies the number to a controller 100 via an external I/F 115. When the user selects the commodity and receives it, the controller 100 performs a prescribed charging processing. Thus, communication is not performed when the user does not intend by having the communication switch by the responder, and the useless communication between the interrogator and the responder can be prevented. |
