PURPOSE: To vary the vewing angle of a display image without increasing the size of an optical system as to display devices which are arranged at positions where they can be seen with only the right and left eyes respectively. CONSTITUTION: This device has thinning-out and interpolating processing circuits 5R and 5L, display devices 6R and 6L, a magnification control circuit 10, and a magnification setting means 11. The display devices 6R and 6L are arranged at the positions where they can be seen with only the right and left eyes respectively. Namely, the interpolation between inputted data is performed for horizontal enlargement and the data are thinned out for reduction. The enlargement rate (interpolation rate) and reduction rate (thinning-out rate) at this time are controlled with a magnification control signal inputted from an input terminal. Similarly, the image data are enlarged or reduced vertically by a vertical thinning-out and interpolating process circuit. An observer sets desired magnifications by operating a magnification setting means 11 and can observe an image which is enlarged or reduced. |
