CARTRIDGE TRANSPORTING DEVICE, LIBRARY CONTROL SYSTEM AND ACCESSOR CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: To improve the percentage of success of the transporting of a cartridge by continuously performing the transporting operation to a prescribed position in the case of detecting that the cartridge is not transported to the prescribed position in a fixed time. CONSTITUTION: When the fact that the cartridge is not transported to a second prescribed position in the fixed time is detected by a transportation completion monitoring means 6, an arm rotating means 2 respectively rotates two arms in the direction opposite to a direction to which arms are rotated to grasp the cartridge. Then, a control means 5 controls a transportation driving means 4 so that a transporting means 3 transports the cartridge by grasping it with other ends of the two arms. Moreover, the means 5 makes a gap state avoid by detecting relative positions between an accessor and respective cells of a housing storehouse and by giving the accessor or a driving cell a small vibration. Furthermore, the means 5 restores only necessary program codes to develope them to an RAM and realizes necessary functions by using an ROM and an RAM capacity prepared in a preexisting hardware.
