PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner in which the excess or insufficiency of refrigerant in an indoor unit of an operating side can be eliminated and stable and suitable operation can be always performed by suitably regulating the quantity of refrigerant stored in the indoor unit of the stop side. CONSTITUTION: When at least one of indoor units B1 , B2 is operated, the predetermined reference opening at non-operational time is corrected in response to the capacity rank and the installing state (e.g. pipe length) of the indoor unit of the stopped side, and the opening of the electronic expansion valve corresponding to the indoor unit of the stopped side is set to the corrected stopping time reference opening. |
