An activator for the depolymerisation of crosslinked polysiloxanes is claimed, contg. phosphoric acid and/or mono- and/or di-esters thereof with formula O=P(OH)n(OR)3-n (I), and polycondensation prods. derived therefrom: n = 1, 2 or 3; R = 1-20C aromatic, or satd., unsatd., linear or branched aliphatic hydrocarbyl (same or different if n = 1). Also claimed is (i) the same activator, together with auxiliary substance(s), for the depolymerisation of crosslinked and/or uncrosslinked polysiloxanes; (ii) a process for the deactivation of crosslinked, opt. filler-contg. and/or uncrosslinked polysiloxanes by treatment with the above activator. |
