SYNCHRONOUS INJECTION LASER

PURPOSE: To obtain a synchronous injection laser in which assembling of an optical isolator and a lens is facilitated on the input side and horizontally polarized light is inputted constantly to the semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION: A polarizer 8 is inserted into a semiconductor laser 10 on the input side thereof and the incident light to the semiconductor laser 10 is limited to a horizontally polarized wave. A low reflection optical connector 5 is separated from a low reflection optical connector 4 and lenses 7, 9 and the polarizer 8 are assembled being aligned by observing the light from the semiconductor laser 10. Alignment of optical isolator can be eliminated in the assembling work through the use of an optical fiber isolator 2 connected with an optical fiber.
