<p>PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device generating no image drift or no defective conveyance for a short medium or a regular cut sheet. CONSTITUTION: A conveying belt 4 capable of conveying the recording sheet P to the recording position of an electrophotographic process cartridge 2 arranged on the upstream side of a conveyance path and the recording position of an ink jet recording section 3 arranged at a prescribed distance on the downstream side of the conveyance path is suspended. A recognizing means recognizing whether the recording sheet P is a short medium or a regular cut sheet is provided. When the recording sheet P is recognized as the short medium, it is first recorded by the process cartridge 2, then it is recorded by an ink jet recording section 3. When the recording sheet P is recognized as the regular cut sheet, it is first recorded by the ink jet recording section 3, then it is recorded by the process cartridge 2.</p> |
