MANUFACTURE OF COAXIAL DIELECTRIC RESONATOR

PURPOSE: To make the size of the coaxial dielectric resonator small to be mounted on a printed circuit board used for applications in mobile communication such as a portable telephone set or a cordless telephone set. CONSTITUTION: A groove 17 is formed to an open end face 11b of a dielectric board 11 to be nearly a rectangle having a throughhole 12 in the center toward an outer surface 11d from the throughhole 12, and after the outer surface 11a, both end faces 11b, 11c and the throughhole 12 are coated entirely by a conductor film 13, both the end faces 11b are ground and the conductor film 13 is removed from the open end faces 11b except the groove 17 to easily realize the coaxial dielectric resonator 11 with an electrode 12 to the open end face 11b thereby allowing ease of mount onto the board and a small size and reducing radiation from the electrode 20.
