FIELD: methods to produce 2-naphthol used as semi-finished product in organic synthesis of pigments, antioxidants and other products. SUBSTANCE: method provides for reaction mass, produced as a result of naphthalene sulfurization and hydrolysis, is subjected to extraction purification from impurities using treatment by organic solvent from group of benzene, toluene, xylene or naphthalene and water under temperature of 60 - 90 C, using ratio of sulfomass : solvent : water - 1 : (0.25 - 1) : (0.4 - 1.2). EFFECT: method allows to produce high output of 2-naphtol from naphthalene of different degree of purification due to separation of tar impurities and sulfones at extraction stage. |
