A claimed wheel comprises a roller or bush type bearing with an outer plastic ring (2, 15) and a rubber tyre vulcanised onto the ring (2, 15) in a mould (9). Also claimed is the mfg. process where (i) the grease-filled bearing (4) is placed in an injection mould; (ii) plastic (15) is injected around the outer bearing ring to form the wheel body (2); (iii) the bearing (4) and annular wheel body (2, 15) are located in a vulcanising mould (9) on a central cooling core (11); and (iv) rubber is fed into the remaining cavity (10) around the assembly (2, 4) and vulcanised under pressure while cooling the tool core (11). Pref. the plastic annular wheel body (2, 15) has bulges which grip one or both sides of the outer bearing ring to resist side loading.
