The insulation plate (1) comprises edge surfaces (5,6,8) which are inclined to the plate surfaces (2,3). One edge surface (8) is formed by two V-shaped surfaces (9,10).The insulation plate is made of mineral fibre or from a fleece containing a fibre proportion of a self-renewing raw material. The fleece can be made from wool, hemp, flax etc..
