The machine has at least one finishing element abutting the machined surface of the workpiece (1) under pressure of a clamping member. There is a mechanism generating a relative motion between the workpiece and finishing element, which comprises a C-shaped shell (8) surrounding the machined surface, at least partly.The shell is of such flexibility that it can fit the surface to be machined in a geometrically proper circle. Pref. the shell face, opposite to the workpiece machined surface, is fitted with at least one edge-open recess, extending parallel to the axis of rotation.
