Disk producing apparatus comprises: a disk driving unit (2, 3) for rotating a disk (4); a pickup (5) having a first guide portion (8, 9) provided on one side portion and a guide face (10) provided on the other side portion; a base member (1) having a guide member (11) for receiving the guide face (10), the guide member (11) having a length shorter than the sliding distance of the pickup (5) in the guiding direction; a driving unit (13, 14, 15, 16) for driving the pickup (5) in the radial direction of the disk (4); and a signal processing unit for applying a specified processing to a signal reproduced from the pickup (5). Preferably, the first guide portion comprises: a guide shaft (8) supported on the base; and a guide bearing (9, 9) provided on the one side portion of the pickup (5) in such a manner as to be slidably inserted around the guide shaft (8). Such apparatus can be capable of improving the feeding accuracy of the pickup (5), reducing the cost of a feeding portion of the pickup (5), and realizing a small-sized skew adjustment mechanism at low cost. <IMAGE> |
