PURPOSE: To provide an image-forming device which stabilizes light intensity of a semiconductor laser with a high precision at the time of recording so as to stabilize image density and obtain images of high quality. CONSTITUTION: In an image-forming device, light intensity of laser beam from a semiconductor laser is detected by a light intensity detection means 4. The laser beam is directed to a photosensitive drum through an optical system, which is scanned so as to form an image. An image signal corresponding to an image to be formed is converted into an analog voltage which is converted into a control current signal at a current mirror circuit 102. The driving current of the semiconductor laser is controlled such that the detection signal from the light intensity detection means 4 and the control current signal from the current mirror circuit 102 are always at fixed rates. |
