发明名称 RESISTANCE WELDING METHOD OF ALUMINUM MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain high joint strength with relatively low welding current by attaching one or more backplates of aluminum-base material to both sides or one side of welding joint part in lap joint welding of aluminum-base material. CONSTITUTION: In joining a material 1 to be welded made of aluminum-base material by lap joint welding, one or more backplates 3 made of aluminum-base material are attached to both sides or one side of the welding joint part and the material 1 to be welded and backplate 3 are simultaneously welded. A thickness of the backing plate is >=1/10 of the thickness of most thinest material to be welded to <=4mm, a size of the backing plate is preferably a minimum length from center of >=5mm. The materials to be welded have a thickness of >=0.4mm to <=2.0mm and same or different thickness. In this method, due to rigidity of the backplate 3, the welded joint is hard to be deformed as applied with high tensile shear load, thus, high joint strength is obtained.
